Basic Guitar Chords
How to read the chart:

Numbers are which finger to use..

Black dots at top of the chord chart
means play that string open.( Sometimes
we use "O" for open)

The strings with no marking above them
means don't strum those strings. Sometimes we use an "X" to denote
"don't play this string".

The dots on the fretboard show you
where to place your fingers.

There different ways  to play all of these chords. We will go over that once you learn
the basic chords here.

When you practice these chords at home,
try playing the strings one at a time. If the
string is muted or does not ring out, check  to be sure that your fingers are right behind the fret markers , and you are  pushing down hard on the strings so the string makes good contact  with the wire frets.

Also watch out  for the palm of your left hand and make sure it's not muting the
bottom "Little E String"
Do not place your fingers right on the fret wire , or this will cause the string to mute also.
Ukulele Chords are easy to make , and it's a fun instrument to play. Also makes a neat gift
